History and Cellar
Champagne Marguet was created around 1875 by Émile Marguet. In 1883, he refined selected parcels in the Côte des Blancs and the Grande Montagne de Reims in advance of the phylloxera. In the cellar, the must moves mainly by gravity. Each plot and each cru is fermented separately in wooden casks, after which the wines mature for a longer time on the lees. Sulphur is used only depending on the vintage, at harvest time and in low doses.
Champagnes
The range includes Grand-Cru cuvées such as Shaman Grand Cru made from 84 % Pinot Noir and 16 % Chardonnay, and Shaman Rosé Grand Cru made from 76 % Chardonnay and 24 % Pinot Noir, each from its own vineyards in Ambonnay and Bouzy. The Yuman Blanc de Blancs is produced from 100 % Chardonnay.
