Non-binding sales enquiry

In brief

Selling wine: how the enquiry works

Through True Wine, you can enquire about selling individual high-quality bottles, full cases or an entire wine collection. The enquiry is non-binding; a sale only proceeds after you expressly approve the proposed handling.

What information is required?

To start, we need the wine, vintage, bottle count and your contact details. Photographs, invoices and information about condition, storage and provenance can be added later.

How is the wine assessed?

The individual assessment considers vintage, current demand, available market data, bottle condition, storage and provenance.

Which wines are in demand?

Actively traded fine wines from renowned producers with sound fill levels, traceable provenance and documented storage history are particularly suitable.

Your benefits

A clear path from cellar to sale

True Wine combines structured wine records with a personal assessment and coordinated sales handling.

Identify wines precisely

Our search uses a comprehensive wine reference database, allowing producers, wines and origins to be matched quickly and unambiguously.

Individual, not generic

Vintage, quantity, condition, provenance and current demand all inform our review. You receive a personal assessment rather than an automated teaser price.

End-to-end handling

If the proposal works for you, we coordinate transport, inspection, storage and the appropriate route to market with you.

More about storage

Process

Three steps to an assessment

For the initial review, wine, vintage and bottle count are enough. Supporting documents can be added later.

  1. Enter your wines

Choose each wine from the search, add its vintage and quantity, then submit your enquiry.

  2. Let us review the collection

We assess saleability and current demand. If needed, we ask about condition and storage as well as photographs or purchase records.

  3. Response and handling

You receive a personal response. Only after you agree do we plan collection, inspection and sale.

Suitable wines

Which wines tend to sell well?

High-quality, actively traded wines with traceable provenance and a sound storage history are of particular interest.

Not sure whether your collection is suitable? Submit it without obligation and we will review every enquiry individually.

  • Fine wine from reputable producers and sought-after regions
  • Original bottles in good condition with sound fill levels
  • Full cases, larger holdings and curated collections
  • Wines supported by invoices, photographs or documented provenance

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about selling wine

Your enquiry and our initial response are non-binding.

What information do I need for the initial enquiry?

Wine, vintage, bottle count and your contact details are enough to start. You can add notes about storage, condition, invoices or photographs now or provide them later.

Is the enquiry binding?

No. Your enquiry and our initial response are non-binding. A sale or consignment only proceeds after your explicit approval.

How is the value of my wine determined?

We consider the wine and vintage, current demand, available market data, bottle condition, storage and provenance. The final assessment is therefore always individual.

Can I offer an entire collection?

Yes. For larger cellars and collections, enter the key positions first and provide the complete inventory list afterwards.

What happens after I submit the form?

You receive an immediate confirmation. We review the wines and then contact you personally to discuss any questions and possible next steps.
