History and cellar work
Champagne Barrat-Masson was founded in 2010 as a joint project by oenologist Aurélie and winemaker Loïc. Loïc had taken over the family business in Bethon back in 2005. For vinification, the winery uses traditional Coquard presses with capacities of 2,000 and 4,000 kilograms, as well as stainless steel tanks, oak barrels and demi-muids. After the first alcoholic fermentation, the wines remain for several months on the fine lees and then mature for several years on the lees in the bottle. Disgorging is carried out without the addition of liqueur.
Les Volies Brut Nature
Les Volies is a Brut Nature cuvée made from 50 percent Pinot Noir and 50 percent Chardonnay. It is vinified exclusively in a 600-litre demi-muid. The 2019 vintage is listed as sparkling wine from Champagne with 12.5 percent alcohol and a zero dosage.
