Location and classification
Eberfürst is an officially defined single-vineyard site in Eberstadt and Cleversulzbach, a district of Neuenstadt am Kocher, in Württemberg. The site belongs to the larger site of Salzberg in the area of Württembergisch Unterland.
Soils and field name
The Eberfürst vineyards are located on deep, water-retentive Keuper weathering soils. The historic field name Eberfürst is attested for the municipal cadastral areas of Eberstadt and Cleversulzbach and already appears on a cadastral map from 1834.
Documented wine
A documented Eberstädter Eberfürst was produced from Trollinger and Lemberger and marketed as a dry quality wine.
