Location and classification
Dieblesberg is a legally recognised single vineyard site in the wine-growing region Württemberg, in the Württembergisch Unterland area. It is assigned to the larger site Salzberg. The official place designation of the single vineyard site names Affaltrach, Hösslinsülz and Willsbach in Obersulm.
Soils and history
Keuper and marl soils are described for the site area. The name Dieblesberg is also documented as a Gewann (field) for Affaltrach and Zeilhof on a historical cadastral map from 1834.
Grape varieties and wine styles
Under the designation Willsbacher Dieblesberg, wines made from Riesling, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris, Lemberger, Cabernet Cubin and Merlot are documented. These include dry Riesling Kabinett and Spätlese, dry Chardonnay and Pinot Gris QbA, as well as dry Lemberger Spätlese, Cabernet Cubin and Merlot QbA.
Maturation
A Willsbacher Dieblesberg Riesling Spätlese was fermented in barrique and then matured for five months on the lees.
