Berg im Remstal
Vineyard hill is a legally defined single site in the Remstal-Stuttgart area of the Qualitätsweinbaugebiet Württemberg. The official designation includes vineyard plots in Hanweiler, Korb and Winnenden.
Site and conditions
The Hanweiler Berg section lies between Korb and Winnenden and is oriented to the south. It is surrounded by woodland. The site is characterised by cool nights, hot days and pronounced temperature differences between day and night.
Soil and grape variety
For Hanweiler Berg, iron-bearing soil is described. Lemberger is documented there; the wines produced from it are described as fruit-forward and powerful.
