According to the municipality, Schozach was formed around 800, was mentioned in a document for the first time in 1275 and came to Württemberg in 1368. The family tradition of the Counts of Bentzel-Sturmfeder in Schozach goes back to 1396. Traditional vineyard huts in the Ilsfeld vineyards are used to store tools and provide shelter from the weather; in the past, they also offered accommodation to the vineyard wardens.
