Vogelsang is an officially registered single vineyard in Merxheim in the quality wine region Nahe in Germany. The single vineyard is assigned to the Nahetal area and the Großlage Paradiesgarten. Its official site number is 511317.
Vineyard Area
In the wine site register of Rhineland-Palatinate, a total of 13.1 hectares of planted vineyard area were recorded for Vogelsang in 2024.
Grape Varieties and Wine Styles
For wines with the designation Merxheimer Vogelsang, Riesling, Spätburgunder, Regent, Portugieser and Bacchus are documented. The wine styles covered range with Riesling from dry to off-dry, with Regent from fine-herb to sweet, and with Portugieser up to an off-dry rosé. In addition, a sweet Bacchus Spätlese and a sweet red spritzer are also listed.
Vinification
A 2020 Merxheimer Vogelsang Spätburgunder and a 2020 red wine cuvée from the site were aged in barrique oak barrels.
