Location and landscape
The vineyards on the Schlossberg are located in Untergruppenbach and extend towards Burg Stettenfels. The terrain rises towards the castle. The access road running through the vineyards offers views of the foothills of the Löwenstein Hills.

A display vineyard on the Schlossberg presents 14 cultivated grape varieties.
Development and route
In 2016, the land consolidation project “Unter dem Schloss” was proposed in order to preserve viticulture on the Schlossberg and to reorganise the fragmented plots for more efficient cultivation. After the land consolidation, the municipality acquired plot 4322 and created a footpath through the vineyards to Burg Stettenfels there. The project also includes two dry-stone walls.
