Location and classification
The Schildberg is a single-vineyard site in the municipality of Sulzheim. It lies in the Bingen sub-region, belongs to the Großlage of Adelberg, and is located in Rheinhessen.
Relief and naming
The wine-growing site is linked to a shield-shaped, knobbly elevation, around which the vines stretch out across Sulzheim. The name refers to this shape. In 2010, the municipality built the Schildbergturm tower.
