Location and Landscape
The Röde vineyard lies within the municipal area of Creglingen in Württemberg, close to the state border. As a viewpoint, it is part of the Creglingen cultural landscape trail.
Grape Variety and Wine
The vineyard area covers around 20 ares and is planted with Kerner. The documented wine is a Kerner Kabinett.
Historical Reference
According to local tourism materials, Creglingen was long without viticulture before this vineyard was established. The field name Röde is also listed in the historical cadastral map of 1833 for the Creglingen area of Reinsbronn.
Production of the 2015 Vintage
The documented 2015 vintage was produced and bottled at Hofmann winery; bottling took place in Röttingen in Bavaria.
