Location and classification
Kupferflöz is a single vineyard site in the winegrowing region Mittelrhein, in the Loreley area. The site is attributed to Dörscheid and belongs to the vineyard area of aus Wolfsnack and Kupferflöz, which is documented as a contiguous vineyard island.
Register data
In the official vineyard register, Kupferflöz is listed under number 320401 in the cadastral area of Dörscheid and within the Großlage Herrenberg. For the 2024 harvest, fewer than one hectare of vineyard area was planted there.
Soil and grape varieties
The soil is described as clayey slate, which can appear copper-coloured in sunlight. In addition, it is rich in humus and effectively absorbs precipitation. Wines from the site with Riesling and Pinot blanc have been documented.
