Location and legal designation
The Klosterberg is a legally recognised single vineyard in Maring-Noviand in the wine-growing region Mosel. Through a municipal statute from 2023, the legally used name of “Maring-Noviander Klosterberg” was changed to “Noviander Klosterberg”.
Topography and soils
According to the description of a local winery, the Klosterberg is located in a comparatively flat section next to, or to the left of, the vineyard site Honigberg. The soils are described as heavy, loamy loams with slate sediment.
Grape varieties
A local estate reports Cabernet Blanc, Rivaner and part of its Sauvignac plantings from the Klosterberg.
