Kirchberg in Badenweiler
Kirchberg is listed in a scientific directory from 1991 as a vineyard site of Badenweiler in the Markgräflerland. The directory also distinguishes between Lipburg Kirchberg and Badenweiler Kirchberg, thereby documenting a historical link of the name to the Badenweiler area.
Positioning in wine law
In the Baden-Württemberg wine law system of 2016, Badenweiler Römerberg is listed as a single vineyard site. Kirchberg is assigned there to the Markgräflerland for Efringen-Kirchen, Huttingen and Istein. The current wine-vineyard index also does not list Kirchberg under Badenweiler.
