Location and classification
Junker is an officially registered single-vineyard site in the wine-growing region Nahe. It belongs to the Nahetal area and to the Großlage Kronenberg, and is located in the Ippesheim cadastral district of the municipality of Bad Kreuznach.

In the official register of vineyard sites, Junker is listed under vineyard site code 510117. The planted vineyard area comprises 17.4 hectares. For the Ippesheimer Junker, an altitude of around 98 to 160 metres and a north-westerly aspect are described.
Soil and grape varieties
The soils of Ippesheimer Junker are described as loamy clay. The site is located at the foot of the Biebelsheimer Kieselberg, with an orientation towards the Nahe. For the Ippesheimer vineyard areas, including Junker, a special microclimate is described. In the plantings there, Pinot Gris and Riesling are grown.
