Location
Greiner refers to the Kleinheppacher Greiner vineyard site in Kleinheppach, a district of the municipality Korb in the Remstal. It lies below the Kleinheppacher Kopf on the sun-rich side of the Remstal and on the western foothills of the Buocher Höhe. Vine-growing areas extend, regionally documented, to about 420 metres above sea level.
Soil and cultivation
The plot used for the Greiner Lemberger is on Upper Bunte Mergels. The estate describes the site as warm. The Lemberger comes from the oldest Lemberger vineyard of the winery below the Kleinheppacher Kopf; for this location, very low yields and intensive care are given.

Greiner is documented as a Lemberger vineyard site in Württemberg. A documented bottling is a dry red wine made from Lemberger, which the producer classifies as a site wine and reserve wine. The wines from the associated estate are described as organic products.
Vinification and history
For the documented Greiner Lemberger, four weeks of maceration time and 24 months of ageing in wooden barrels are specified. The parcel name Greiner is also recorded on a cadastral map of the area Gundelsbach–Kleinheppach from 1832.
