History
Viticulture on the Gellertberg has been documented since the 12th century, when monks cultivated vines there. The Weinböhla wine-growing association was founded on 24 May 1930 and subsequently replanted the council vineyard and the community vineyard leased by the municipality with grafted vines. For the Oberau Gellertberg, the establishment of a local wine-growing group was documented in 1934; Otto Pfützner led it from 1937 to 1965.
