Single vineyard site in the wine-growing region of Baden
Fohrenberg is a legally defined single vineyard site in the wine-growing region of Baden in the Lake Constance area. The wine-law designation is linked to Meersburg and Stetten.
Soils
The vineyard areas of the Meersburg Winegrowers’ Association, which includes Fohrenberg, are located on calcareous moraine gravel and sandy loam.
Grape varieties and wine styles
From Fohrenberg, wines made from Müller-Thurgau, Muscateller and Spätburgunder are documented. These include dry Spätburgunder, delicately off-dry Müller-Thurgau and sweet Muscateller.
