Location and classification
Bienenberg is a vineyard site near Heimbach, a district of the municipality of Teningen in Baden-Württemberg. The single site belongs to the Breisgau region of the winegrowing region Baden; its official name includes, in addition to Heimbach, also Malterdingen.
History and grape varieties
Winegrowing in Heimbach is already documented for the year 1317 in the Tennenbacher monastic estate register. At the Heimbacher Bienenberg, Rivaner is grown, which is also known as Müller-Thurgau.
Documented wine
From the Heimbacher Bienenberg, a Kerner Beerenauslese from the 2006 vintage is documented from the Gallushof winery in Teningen-Heimbach.
