Location and classification
At Feuerstein there is a vineyard site in Seinsheim in the wine paradise, an area of the Franconian quality winegrowing region in Bavaria. The site is listed in the official register of vineyards under number KT 35 and has been recorded since 2019. It is free of large-area designations and therefore not assigned to any named large vineyard site.
Vineyard and soils
The vineyard covers around four hectares and, according to the municipal description, was established more recently. The surrounding area is described as sunny, dry and mild. The vines grow on Keuper soils.
Documented wines
For the 2021 vintage, Weißburgunder, Grauburgunder, Silvaner, Chardonnay, Scheurebe and Rotling from Seinsheim Am Feuerstein are documented. These wines were developed as dry. An also documented Scheurebe from the 2021 vintage was classified as German quality wine (QbA), semi-dry, with 11.5 % alcohol, 11.4 g/l residual sugar and 6.2 g/l acidity.
