Varieties and winemaking
In the classified plantings, Riesling, Lemberger and Spätburgunder are grown. For the vineyards in Schnait, a somewhat cooler climate is described in comparison to the warmer Stuttgart basin, with a greater influence from the forest and a longer-lasting autumn mist. At the Schnaitmann winery, the individual vineyards are vinified separately; the decision to blend the wines is only made at a late stage.
