Location and municipality
Wiebelsberg is a wine village on the edge of the Steigerwald and lies directly by vineyards. Since 1972, the place has been part of the Oberschwarzach market municipality as a district.
Winegrowing at Wiebelsberg
The vineyards at Wiebelsberg are situated on a south-facing site and cover about 25 hectares of Keuper soil. They were newly planted in 1980. The wine from these sites is designated Wiebelsberger Dachs; red wines are also documented.
History and classification
Wiebelsberg was first documented in 1303 as a winegrowing community. The Bavarian directory of wine sites lists Oberschwarzach-Wiebelsberg-Dachs in the Großlage Steige in the area of Weinpanorama Steigerwald.
