Parts of the Weil-Isteiner Niederung, the terrace of the Weil-Efringen Hochgestade and a small eastern section of the loess hills of Bamlach-Schallbach belong to the municipal area. The historic settlement core lies on a lower terrace of the Rhine plain on the Kander, which is covered by deposited loess. In the eastern part of the municipality, there are vineyards on the loess hills.
Vineyard site and history
The vineyard site designation Sonnhohle is used for wines from Eimeldingen. In 1809, Eimeldingen switched from the Oberamt of Rötteln to the district from which, in 1939, the Lörrach district (Landkreis) emerged.
