History and agriculture
Albertshofen is documented for the first time in 1317 in a grant of a fief from Gottfried of Hohenlohe to Otto Fuchs and his brother Konrad. From the middle of the 19th century, the municipality developed from winegrowing via fruit growing into an important vegetable-growing centre.
Designation of the vineyard site
According to the Bavarian vineyard register, registered vineyard sites are geographical origin designations for quality wine and Prädikatswein. The site designation is linked to the name of the municipality or the district.
