Location and classification
Vorderberg is a legally registered single vineyard site in Kleinniedesheim in the Mittelhaardt/Deutsche Weinstraße winegrowing region of the Pfalz. The site belongs to the Großlage Schwarzerde.
Area and vineyard register
For the 2024 harvest, the vineyard register of the Rhineland-Palatinate Chamber of Agriculture records a planted vineyard area of 46.5 hectares. The vineyard register number is 821720.
Grape variety and cultivation
For a vineyard of the Rhein-Pfalz district in Vorderberg, the grape variety Regent is documented. In 2016, this vineyard was cultivated by the winery Merkel. The grape harvest took place on 19 September by hand; special traps were used to combat the spotted-wing drosophila.
