Under the name Walsheimer Silberberg, Riesling, Chardonnay, Grauburgunder and Spätburgunder are documented. This includes dry quality wines, i.e. Q.b.A., and in the case of Riesling also Spätlese, Auslese, Beerenauslese and Trockenbeerenauslese.
Cultivation and vinification
For a Walsheimer Silberberg Spätburgunder, an yield reduction to around 35 hectolitres per hectare is documented. Chardonnay and Spätburgunder are harvested selectively and by hand. White wines are fermented cool and matured in stainless steel tanks; a Chardonnay then spends around four months on fine lees. For Spätburgunder, depending on the cuvée, either 18 months of maturation in small oak barrels or one year in larger wooden casks follows. The current delimitation dates back to the designation from 1971 and was adjusted in 1987 and 2001, as well as in 2020 and 2025.
