Location and classification
The official name of the single vineyard is Bad Kösener Schöne Aussicht. It belongs to the wine-growing region Saale-Unstrut and is assigned to the cadastral areas Bad Kösen and Möllern. Within the larger site, it is assigned to the Naumburger Göttersitz.
Area and topography
The vineyard register for Saale-Unstrut lists a planted area of 8.2855 hectares as of 31 December 2024. The site is described as steep; a small terrace can be reached via around 200 steps.
Grape varieties and wine styles
From the Schöne Aussicht in Bad Kösen, Riesling from a company-owned parcel is documented. Other documented grape varieties are Grauburgunder, Silvaner, Traminer, Cabernet Blanc and Solaris.
Documented wines of the site include dry white quality wine, a dry Traminer Auslese, a sweet Silvaner ice wine and a sweet Solaris Beerenauslese.
