Location and landscape
Schlierbach is documented as a wine-growing site, “Weiler Schlierbach”, in Obersulm-Weiler in the Weinsberg Valley. The viticultural landscape lies in a side valley of the Sulm Valley and is surrounded by rising terrain and vineyards.
Climate and soils
The wine-growing area around the hamlet benefits from a mild climate. For the vines in the wine-growing site Weiler Schlierbach, Keuper soils are documented.
Ownership and history
Weiler Schlierbach is in the sole ownership of the Dr. Baumann winery. The historic press house in Weiler was built in 1557. In the past, local winegrowers had to press their entire grape harvest there; in 1952, the local wine cooperative was founded.
