Area and history

Historically, the vineyards in Schwarzenau extended over around 40 hectares on the slopes of the Leitenberg and along the Roßweg. After the outbreak of phylloxera in 1902 and the First World War, these vineyards disappeared; an area of around 6,000 square metres remained.
Documented wines
Under the designation Schwarzenauer Rosengarten, a white quality wine made from Müller-Thurgau is documented in the semi-dry style. In addition, a semi-dry Müller-Thurgau Kabinett from the 2018 vintage is documented.
