Loess-pararendzina is described as a calcareous, deep, light-coloured loam with clayey silt, good water storage that is available to plants, and good root penetrability. Limestone-rendzina is shallow to medium-depth, very calcareous and stony; it contains sandy loam, offers good aeration and has limited root penetrability.
