Osterhöll is an officially registered single vineyard in the winegrowing region Nahe, the Nahetal area and the Großlage Kronenberg. The responsible municipality and cadastral district is Bad Kreuznach. The official vineyard site number is 510127.
Area and soils
In the vineyard register 2024, 14.1 hectares of planted vineyard area are listed for Osterhöll. The site, which faces south, consists of around 5 percent steep slope, 60 percent hillside and 35 percent flatland. The soil is recorded as being weakly sandy loam.
Name and wines
The name Osterhöll has been documented since 1715 and is interpreted by the vineyard owner as an indication of the eastern flank of the Kronenberg. From the site, Riesling wines have been documented, including dry Riesling Kabinett, Riesling Spätlese and Riesling Spätlese semi-dry. The vineyard owner describes the wines as fine and aromatic.
