Location and Orientation
The Mühlberg is a small hillside vineyard site in Waldböckelheim in the wine-growing region Nahe. The vineyard area covers 1.57 hectares. The south-southeast slope has a gradient of around 20 percent and provides the Riesling vines with plenty of sunshine during the growing season.
Soils and Wine Style
The documented soil materials include mica-bearing sandstone in yellowish-brown to light grey tones, dark grey clay, and slate. Wines from the sandstone soils are described as having fruity acidity and a pronounced flavour, while wines from the slate show herb notes and a moderate fruit acidity.
