The monastery garden is a legally registered single vineyard site in the municipality and viticultural area Sponheim in the winegrowing region Nahe, Nahe valley area. The vineyard site lies at the transition between the Soonwald and the Nahe valley.

According to the municipal description, the vineyards in Sponheim benefit from a mild climate. The officially recorded planted area of the monastery garden was less than one hectare for the 2024 harvest.
