Location and classification
The Kahlberg is a vineyard site in the district of Leutershausen in Hirschberg an der Bergstraße. It belongs to the Badische Bergstraße in the wine-growing region Baden.

Leutershausener Kahlberg is listed as a single vineyard within the Großlage Rittersberg.
Topography and viticulture
The vineyard site is located in the eastern slope zone above Leutershausen. The Kahlberg lies at around 200 metres above sea level; in the northern area there are contiguous vineyard plots.
In the surrounding area, terrace deposits with quartz gravel are documented. The vineyard plots consist predominantly of small parcels, mostly less than 1,000 to about 5,000 square metres. The continuation of viticulture was assessed in a local land-use evaluation as being assured; apart from local repair needs, the development of the vineyards was considered sufficient.
