Höll

Location and classification

Höll is a legally registered single vineyard in the wine-growing region Nahe, in the Nahe Valley area, and within the Großlage Burgweg. The register of wine-growing sites assigns it to the town of Bad Kreuznach as well as to the cadastral district of Bad Münster am Stein. The vineyard site is located in the area of Bad Münster am Stein directly next to the Rotefels.

Area and site

The planted vineyard area of Höll covers 2.4 hectares. The site is oriented to the south-west and has a slope of 10 to 20 per cent. The soil is documented as porphyry; the vineyard description mentions shallow-soil volcanic porphyry in connection with the Rotefels.

Grape variety and wine style

Riesling is grown in Höll. A documented Höll Riesling is produced as a fine, medium-dry quality wine from Germany and is matured in stainless-steel tanks. The described aromas of ripe fruit include mandarin and apricot.
