Historical notes
A historical account reports that Herrenberger was not shown on a postcard with the Ayler wine-growing sites around 1910. At the same time, the site’s fame at the time is linked with the Görtz’schen Schlossgut. A Riesling sparkling wine made exclusively from Ayler-Herrenberger holdings from the 2014 vintage spent twelve months on the lees and was disgorged in March 2016.
