Held is an officially registered single vineyard in the municipality of Bißersheim in the wine-growing region Pfalz. The site belongs to the Mittelhaardt/Deutsche Weinstraße wine-growing area and to the Großlage Schwarzerde.

Grape varieties and wine styles

For Held, wines made from Riesling, Grüner Veltliner, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Blaufränkisch are documented. These include dry Riesling and dry Grüner Veltliner, as well as a dry Merlot-Cabernet-Sauvignon cuvée that was aged in barriques. A documented Blaufränkisch was fermented spontaneously, processed partly with stems, matured in barriques for 16 months and bottled unfiltered.
