Location and classification
Heiligenborn is an officially designated single vineyard site in Albisheim (Pfrimm) in Pfalz. The site belongs to the larger classified site Schnepfenflug from Zellertal. In the official register of vineyard sites, it is listed under plot number 821501; within the cadastral area of Albisheim/Pfrimm, 19.6 hectares of vineyard land are recorded.
Topography and soils
Documented parcels lie at around 270 metres above sea level and have a slope of approximately 30 per cent. The parcels on the Albisheimer Berg are described as facing directly south. The soils are stated as both sparse limestone soils and heavy, limestone-containing soils.
Grape variety and vinification
Riesling is grown in Heiligenborn. A documented Heiligenborn Riesling is made dry; it is fermented spontaneously entirely in small wooden barrels and bottled unfiltered.
