Albisheim (Pfrimm)

Location in the Zellertal

Albisheim (Pfrimm) lies at approximately the centre of the Zellertal, in the confluence area of Leiselsbach and Pfrimm, at an elevation of about 160 metres. The municipality belongs to Pfalz.

Landscape and soils

The landscape includes the elevations Wingertsberg, Osterberg and Saukopf. The Middle Pfrimmtal is a broad valley, over 100 metres cut into the Alzey Hills. The steep vineyard slopes are calcareous and marl-based, while the flatter slopes are covered with loess loam.

Viticulture and single vineyard

Wine is grown on Wingertsberg, which is marketed partly directly by producers. The official vineyard directory lists in Albisheim (Pfrimm) the single vineyard Heiligenborn with 19.6 hectares of planted vineyard area. Heiligenborn belongs to the Großlage Schnepfenflug from the Zellertal in the wine-growing region Pfalz.
