Location
Hasenberg is a vineyard site in Königschaffhausen, a district of Endingen in the Kaiserstuhl. The site is connected with the hillside slopes of Königschaffhausen.
Soils and Vines
The deep loess soils contain weathered volcanic rock. The vines develop root systems that reach roughly a metre into the soil.
Grape Varieties and Classification
For Hasenberg, Grauburgunder and Weißburgunder are documented. In addition, there are wines made from Müller-Thurgau, Ruländer and Gewürztraminer. The site is known above all for white wines, including dry Qualitätswein as well as Kabinett and Spätlese. Hasenberg is assigned as a single vineyard (Einzellage) of Königschaffhausen in the Baden wine-growing region Baden to the Großlage Vulkanfelsen.
