Location and classification
Gutental is an officially registered single vineyard site in Bad Kreuznach in the German winegrowing region Nahe. In the official vineyard sites register, the single vineyard site is listed under wine site number 510107 and assigned to the Nahetal area as well as the Großlage Kronenberg.
Area and site
The vineyard area stated in the vineyard sites register is 17.4 hectares in the cadastre district of Bad Kreuznach. A description related to the estate specifies an elevation of about 160 metres above sea level and a south-easterly orientation.
Soil and delimitation
The soil is described as red loess clay. For the site, a high water-holding capacity and balanced nutrient supply are given. The current boundaries were adapted to the prevailing viticultural conditions and also include plots that lie within the protected designation of origin Nahe and were previously assigned to an older delimitation of Gutental.
