Location
Gräfenstein is an officially listed vineyard site in Rottenberg, a district of Hösbach, in the wine-growing region Franken. The vineyard lies on the south-facing slope of the Gräfenberg.
Wine-law classification
The site is assigned to the Alzenauer wine region and is entered without a designation as a Großlage.
Soils and grape varieties
For the vineyard, limestone and gneiss soils have been documented. The vines planted are Bacchus, Kerner, Müller-Thurgau, Perle and Riesling.
