Location and Size
The Feuerberg is an officially registered single-vineyard site in Duchroth in the winegrowing region Nahe in Germany. The area listed in the Rhineland-Palatinate vineyards register covers 3.5 hectares.
Plot and Vines
A documented plot of around 0.5 hectares in the Duchrother Feuerberg is described as very steep and extremely stony. Very old Riesling vines are planted there. For cultivation, nature-oriented, but not certified organic viticulture is stated.
Archaeological Connection
The Feuerberg winegrowing area is also associated with archaeological remains attributed to Roman estate-farm foundations and a cemetery.
