The Ermtal vineyard is officially assigned to Dorndorf. Today, Dorndorf forms part of the municipality of Dornburg-Camburg in Thuringia, Germany.
Designation and area
In the official vineyard register for the region Saale-Unstrut, the precise vineyard site is entered as “Dorndorfer Ermtal” with a planted area of 0,0900 hectares. The Thuringian viticulture regulations list Ermtal as a single vineyard site (Einzellage) and Dorndorf as the permissible municipality or district (Ortsteil) designation.
