Location and Classification
Edle Weingärten is a single-vineyard site in the district of Heßloch of Dittelsheim-Heßloch in the Wonnegau in Rheinhessen. It belongs to the Großlage Pilgerpfad and carries the number 730603 in the vineyard register.
Topography and Soils
The vineyards lie at around 190 to 220 metres above sea level and are oriented from north-east to south-east. The soil consists of loess over pararendzina and is calcareous, deep, loamy and silty. It has a high water retention capacity and good root penetrability.
Vineyard Area and Wines
In the official vineyard register 2024, Edle Weingärten in the cadastral district of Heßloch is recorded with 90.6 hectares of planted vineyard area. Documented dry single-site wines are produced from Grauburgunder and Weißburgunder.
Historical Description
The wine site has already been documented for the year 1787 under the name in the edlen Weingärten.
