The Burgberg is an officially defined single vineyard site in the Schozachtal winegrowing region in Württemberg, which is connected to Abstatt. The legal classification places the Burgberg within the Großlage Schozachtal; Abstatt and Auenstein are named as the associated municipalities.

Grape varieties and wine styles

For the Abstatter Burgberg, Lemberger, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Riesling and Helfensteiner are documented. Helfensteiner is also referred to as Blauer Weinsberger. Documented are dry Lemberger, dry Sauvignon Blanc, dry Chardonnay and Kabinett Riesling.

Maturation

The documented Lemberger from the Abstatter Burgberg from the Golter winery is matured in barriques.
