Viticultural use
The city of Stuttgart lists the Cannstatter Berg as a named vineyard site in Bad Cannstatt. The Cannstatter Berg is directly accessible and can be farmed mechanically. The grape varieties grown there include Trollinger, Spätburgunder, Cabernet Mitos, Cabernet Sauvignon, Weißburgunder, Muskat, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc and Kerner.
Protected wine-growing area
In the cadastral district of Bad Cannstatt, the mountain belongs to a protected wine-growing area which also includes Sparrhärmlingweg, Klinge and Prag. For Riesling with the designation Cannstatter Berg, fermentation and ageing in a stainless-steel tank are documented; the Lemberger Reserve is fermented on the marc and aged for 19 months in barrique.
