Old Roman Road in Mandel
The Old Roman Road is an officially registered single vineyard site in the municipality and wine-growing area Mandel in the German winegrowing region Nahe. In the official vineyard directory, it is listed under vineyard site number 511417. For the 2024 harvest, 34.2 hectares of planted vineyard area are recorded.
Location and soils
The single vineyard site lies as a plateau at about 220 to 245 metres above sea level. The soil is given as gravelly loam over sand; the deposits are assigned to the Pleistocene from about 2.6 million years ago to 10,000 years ago.

From the Mandel Old Roman Road vineyard site, a wine from the grape variety Dornfelder is documented. The 2015 vintage was listed as a dry quality wine.
