Location
Oberstreit is a municipality in the Bad Kreuznach district in Rhineland-Palatinate. It lies north of the Nahe and belongs to the wine region Nahe. The municipality is situated at an elevation of about 200 metres above sea level.
History
Oberstreit was first mentioned in records on 23 October 1305. In a document associated with the Disibodenberg Abbey, the place appears under the name Ebenstryt. The estate was founded by Jakob von Ebenstrit.
Wine growing site On Zimmerberg
The wine growing site Auf dem Zimmerberg is located in the cadastral district of Oberstreit and, in the cultivation area of Nahe, belongs to the Nahetal area. It is listed as a single site under wine growing site number 511324 within the larger site Paradiesgarten.
A land use survey recorded 17 plots there. Of these, two were used for wine growing, while 15 plots served other uses; there were no fallow areas.
