Location
Eckenroth is a municipality in the Bad Kreuznach district in Rhineland-Palatinate and belongs to Nahe. The municipality lies on the south-eastern edge of the Hunsrück and is framed by the Soonwald and the Binger Wald.
Landscape
Eckenroth lies on the side of Schindeldorf opposite Steyerberg. The surrounding area is characterised by woodland and rural landscape; vineyards also surround the municipality.
Viticulture
In the official wine-growing register, the wine sites Felsenberg and Hölle are assigned to Eckenroth. The municipality’s vineyards are permitted to produce wine for the protected geographical indication Nahegauer Landwein.
